【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesstandardenvironmentalconditionsforthetestingofmetallicmaterialsintendedforimplantation,surgicalimplants,andmedicaldevices.Thetestconditionsdescribedsimulatephysiologicalconditionsinasimplifiedmannercontrollingthetestsolution,thetemperature,thegaseousatmosphereandtheproportionsofsamplesizeandvolumeofsolution.Theseenvironmentaltestingconditionscanbeemployedwherenecessaryincombinationwithvariousstaticordynamictestswheretheeffectofthephysiologicalenvironmentistobeconsidered.Typicalapplicationsarecorrosionfatiguetestsandselectedfrettingandweartests,aswellasgeneralelectrochemicaltests.TypicalarticulatingjointsimulatortestsandaspectsparticulartothedentalfieldarenotconsideredbythisInternationalStandard.Solutionsthatattempttoreplicatethetribologicalpropertiesofbodyfluids,suchasthoseusedinwearstudies,areoutsidethescopeofthisInternationalStandard.
