【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheapparentcellsizeofrigidcellularplasticsbycountingthenumberofcell-wallintersectionsinaspecifieddistance.ProcedureArequiresthepreparationofathinslice,notmorethanonehalftheaveragecelldiameterinthickness,thatismechanicallystable.Formostrigidcellularplasticsthislimitsthetestmethodtomaterialswithanaveragecellsizeofatleast0.2mm.ProcedureBisintendedforusewithmaterialswhosefriablenaturemakesitdifficulttoobtainathinsliceforviewing.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninbracketsareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1-TheannextoISO2896istechnicallyequivalenttothistestmethod.
